Reflecting on Our Favorite Projects of 2024 at Brand It Graphix

As 2024 comes to a close, we at Brand It Graphix find ourselves looking back on some truly remarkable projects that made this year special. From heartwarming personal creations to community projects and innovative marketing tools, our team poured creativity, care, and craftsmanship into every endeavor.

Cathy Hitchcock’s Heartfelt Creation

"My favorite project was on the Epilog Laser," Cathy shared. "I engraved handwritten recipes on both sides of a cutting board for my daughter-in-law’s wedding shower. The recipes were from her grandmothers, one of whom had recently passed away. To see the heartwarming reaction she had when she opened, it was very special to me. The recipes were her favorite dishes her grandmothers made when she was young and would cook with them."

The project was not just a gift but a meaningful keepsake, connecting generations and preserving cherished memories. The precision of the Epilog Laser allowed Cathy to replicate the unique handwriting of her daughter-in-law’s grandmothers, adding an extra layer of sentimentality to an already beautiful piece.

Susan Tommaney’s Work with Hope Gathering

One of Susan’s favorite projects was for a client close to her heart, Hope Gathering. This inspiring community helps widows find hope and healing through Christ. Susan’s work encompassed multiple creative elements:

Hope Gathering Retractable Banner made at Brand It Graphix

  • Retractable Banner: This banner was printed on the Canon Colorado, a UV-gel printer known for its temperature-controlled precision. This ensured that the delicate vinyl substrate was handled with care.

  • Oversized Logo Cutout: Using the Colex Sharpcut flatbed cutter, the team routed an eight-foot-wide version of the Hope Gathering logo from a sturdy board, creating a bold and inspiring centerpiece.

  • Scripture Cards: Designed with an ethereal watercolor aesthetic, these cards were printed on the Xerox Versant 4100 Press and meticulously cut to business card size on the Duplo DC-646. Each card found its home in a hope box—a collection of thoughtful items, including a Bible, devotional books, a personal note, and more, offering comfort to those navigating a difficult season.

Susan reflected, "It’s incredible to be part of something that encourages and is a tangible reminder that someone cares. The creativity and precision of our tools allowed us to bring their vision to life."

Anthony Barnes’ Dallas Cowboys Schedule Magnets

Anthony shared his experience designing a unique series of business card magnets for Mercer Company. "This was a series of business cards/magnets where I designed a Dallas Cowboys schedule alongside the business card. This project was very time-consuming, as 17 guys needed a magnet, including their photo and business card. The process was cruel, but the result was really cool, besides the fact that it’s America’s Team."

The meticulous effort paid off. The final product showcased the schedule of a beloved football team and served as a personalized and practical marketing tool for the Mercer team. The combination of creative design and high-quality production made this project a standout.
